This multi-purpose tool serves as a chain cutter and an S-hook opener/closer. It measures 38 inches in length, making it easy to handle. The tool features a rubber grip on one side, with a flat end on the other side to place your foot for additional leverage. Please note that there is only one rubber grip. This product is built to withstand harsh conditions for up to 2 years and optimal conditions for up to 5 years. However, certain conditions may require replacing it sooner.
**Installation, Safe Use and Maintenance Instructions**

Also these publications are updated frequently with changes therefore, you should read these publications yourself to determine if any part or installation could prove a danger to a child.

Installation: Our parts are sold as either replacement parts or components of a set, unless you are buying our Metal Frame Set, therefore these parts need to be installed according to the sets installation instructions. If the installation instructions differ from ours please contact us at 800-433-2573.
Spread pliers’ legs apart and put chain at the back of the very large set of jaws. Put leg with flat end on the ground. The flat end does not have a rubber end. Place your foot on the flat end for leverage and press plier’s legs together until the chain is cut. Pliers cut chain that is 5/16” in diameter.
To close S-hooks: Put the S-hook in the front part of the large jaws and close the pliers’ legs and the S-hook will close.
To open S-hooks: Use the little jaws at the other end of the pliers’ head. Put the top or outer jaw inside of the closed S-hook. Close the pliers’ legs and the S-hook should open.
Make sure any S-hooks are closed to within .04 to meet ASTM safety standards. WARNING: Once the S-hooks have been opened they will have to be replaced to avoid injuries from coming open and/or breaking.
Safe Use: This is for use by ADULTS only. Do not allow it to be used if damaged.
Maintenance: Do the following to reduce the chance of serious injuries. Make sure there are no cracks or breaks in the head and handle. Replace parts as needed. Maintain detailed inspection and maintenance records fro public-use playground equipment.
